Speakers

  • Jerram Barrs

    Jerram serves as Senior Scholar for the Francis Schaeffer Institute and as the Francis Schaeffer Chair of Apologetics at Covenant Theological Seminary. Jerram’s many books include The Heart of Prayer and Echoes of Eden: Reflections on Christianity Literature and the Arts.

  • Sean Boone

    Sean Boone serves as the pastor of Woke Bridge Church in Ferguson, MO. Boone is married to the love of his life, Taquella, and they have a blended family of five kids, four grandkids, and a few dogs.

  • Karen Choi

    Karen Choi is a singer/songwriter living in the American midwest. She was born and raised in Lincoln, Nebraska where she was introduced to roots music at a young age through her father’s involvement in a local bluegrass band. She first picked up her dad’s Martin acoustic when she was thirteen years old. Since then, songwriting became a means of channeling the stories of everyday life and encounters with others along the way. Rooted in the Americana tradition, Choi’s music explores the common human experience from a rich lyrical perspective. Over the last few years, Karen has supported acts such as Son Volt, The Quebe Sisters, Wade Bowen, and the late Pegi Young.

  • Jessica Eswine

    Jessica is the Co-founder of Sage Christianity with her husband, Zack. She's a stepkid and a stepmom, and grateful to parent four kids, ages 27, 24, 18, and 3. She also serves as a Visiting Instructor for the Francis Schaeffer Institute, and as an Attorney for the Missouri Court of Appeals.

  • Zack Eswine

    Zack is co-founder of Sage Christianity with his wife Jessica. A writer and pastor, Zack’s books include Recovering Eden: The Gospel According to Ecclesiastes, Spurgeon’s Sorrows: Realistic Hope for those who suffer from Depression, Preaching to a Post-Everything World, and The Imperfect Pastor.

  • Denis Haack

    Denis is co-founder of Ransom Fellowship with his wife Margie. Denis serves as an advisor and senior writer for Sage Christianity.

  • Margie Haack

    Margie is co-founder of Ransom Fellowship with her husband Denis. Margie is the author of The Place Trilogy, a memoir in three parts.

  • Katy Martin

    Katy is a licensed professional counselor who serves as the Director of Youth and College Ministries at Riverside Church. She and her husband have three children and love living in the St. Louis area. Katy has worked in youth ministry, in one capacity or another, for over 20 years.

  • Mark Ryan

    Mark serves Covenant Theological Seminary as the Director of the Francis A. Schaeffer Institute and as Adjunct Professor of Religion and Cultures. Previously he served with L’Abri Fellowship in Boston and Vancouver and has also pastored congregations in Australia and the USA. Mark is married to Terri, and they have three teenage children, plus two chickens, one dog, one cat, and one turtle. While the children were intentional, the rest just followed the children home.
